Tonya Jones is a vessel of the Lord, led and guided by His Spirit to give encouragement to God’s chosen and to those who are lost. Operating in the gifts of Wisdom, Exhortation, and Prophesy she is steadfast in doing what God has called her to do. She is a song writer, playwright, and author. Founder and President of God’s Word of Encouragement Ministries out of Blackwood NJ, Sister Tonya is a Deaconess at Saints Tabernacle Outreach Ministries. She is the author of One Woman’s Journey to Fully Trusting God and My Personal Testimonial.
Tonya Jones is the widow of Raynard T. Jones who was a Deacon at Saints Tabernacle Outreach Ministries. She is the mother of two children and foster parent to two others.
God has infused Sister Tonya with the power to bring the His Word to those who have been too long “blind” and/or held captive by thoughts and ways that are contrary to the Word of God. By the Grace of God, her driving force and dedication is devoted to seeing her brothers and sisters in Christ healed, set free, and delivered that they may walk in their potential and serve the purpose God has ordained for their lives.
Barbara A. Brown was incredibly blessed to meet and work with Sister Tonya in 2005. During many sharing conversations early in their friendship, Barbara was much impressed by the depth of Tonya’s relationship with The Lord and her willingness to be obedient to His call. Over the past couple of years, God’s Word of Encouragement has inspired, convicted and strengthened Barbara in her own spiritual journey, and she is much honored to assist Tonya in expanding her ministry.
Kenneth B. Thompson attended Jamison Bible College from 1990-1993 and graduated with a degree in Theology. After graduation, he joined Saints Tabernacle Outreach Ministries and was ordained an Elder in 1996. For the last fifteen years Elder Thompson has been a faithful servant of God. Utilizing his gifts of knowledge, wisdom, and teaching Elder Thompson serves Our Lord by ministering to the needs of prisoners in several Philadelphia facilities, on the streets, in hospitals, and in various shelters.
He is a much sought after minister of God’s word. He preaches every third Sunday during the 8:00 a.m. service at Saints Tabernacle’s Fern Rock Location.
Since joining Saints Tabernacle Outreach Ministries on June 5, 1994 he has had the opportunity to go to Africa and London, England to do missionary work. His passion: to evangelize throughout the world as God leads, provide biblical counseling for married couples, and to continue his efforts in prison and street evangelism. Elder Thompson enjoys speaking and is concentrating on developing seminars to help develop men to be all they can be. Elder Thompson is a dynamic preacher and a well anointed part of our team.
