Our vision is to
teach and preach the word of God in
its entirety trusting the word of
God to heal, set-free, and deliver
those held in darkness, bound by
their past, sitting in church
feeling the need for more, and
others chained through misguided
doctrine outside of the word of God.

Mission
The Word of
Encouragement Ministry was formed
and forged by the very hand of God.
It was established to impart
knowledge, to empower and influence
readers … using the very word of God
… so that healing, deliverance, and
freedom may be obtained. “The Lord
God has given Me the tongue of
disciples, that I may know how to
sustain the weary one with a word.
He awakens Me morning by morning, He
awakens My ear to listen as a
disciple, the Lord God has opened My
ear; and I was not disobedient, nor
did I turn back."

History of God’s Word of
Encouragement Ministry:
God’s Word of Encouragement Ministry
(GWOE) was
established in 2007 under the
direction of its founding pastor,
Rev. Tonya C. Jones. In 2003 the
ministry began sending out the Word
of Encouragement to a small group of
individuals and since has grown
through hosting encouraging events
throughout the years. Through these
events Pastor Tonya Jones has
serviced many through books and
conferences. Pastor Jones widowed in
2006 was moved of the Lord to
Incorporate and establish the
ministry as a Non Profit entity in
2007. The ministry was proud to
announce the launching of “Cares of
the Widow Foundation” in 2008. The
ministry meets in the comfort of
home every Sunday for worship
service, bible study and fellowship.
Salvation
We believe
that salvation is the gift of God’s
grace. It cannot be gained or made
more secure by meritorious works,
but is freely bestowed upon all who
put their faith in the finished work
of Jesus Christ at Calvary. All who
so trust the Savior are forgiven of
their sins and born into the family
of God by the regenerating work of
the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Acts
16:30-33; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians
1:7; 2:8-9)
